Another thing very much remarked by the people that no wicked dog ever attempted to bite him. He generally travelled through Westmeath and Meath. He had a great idea of where all people of note resided and could tell very correctly about their relations. The only mistake he was known ever to make was when enquiring for a special old man's health. He was always told " He is very well thank you Johnnie". He always replied by saying " God keep him so". But on one occassion he asked for him and he was told he was very ill but as his hearing was getting bad he gave the same answer "God keep him so" which greatly vexed the old man's son but Johnnie mistaking what he was saying to him replied(continues on next page)- Collector
