    Potatoes could be taken inthe same way. One man's potatoes would not grow and his neighbour would have a double supply.
    Fire also prevented this. Four sheaves of corn were got set on fir and one placed in each corner of the field. The man who told me this said it was an ancient custom handed down from the Druids.
