  1. When the child Jesus, Joseph and Mary were going to Egypt Mary wanted to bath the child and she called to a house.
    She knocked at the door but the woman of the house would not let her in. She said her husband was out and he warned her not to let anyone in. At last the woman let the Blessed Virgin in and she gave her water to wash the child Jesus. When she had Him washed the woman asked the Blessed Virgin could she wash her child in the water because he was all sores. She washed the child in it and he was cured.
    The Blessed Virgin told the woman to throw the water in the fire and burn it.
    When the husband came home and saw the strange woman he was very vexed and was
