    The children catch hands and one of them has to be Jennie Joe and some other one a mother. The mother stands in front of Jennie Joe to hide her. Then the rest of the children come towards her and sing
    We're come to see Jennie Joe Jennie Joe
    How is she now.
    Then the mother sings
    Jennie Joe is washing clothes washing clothes
    You cant see her now.
    Then all the others go back and sing
    On then we're sorry we can't see her now
    They come again and ask how is she and the mother sings the same only she says that Jennie Joe is ironing clothes. Then the others go back and sing the same. The next time they come Jennie Joe is dead. The others then sing
