    On St John's Eve, and Saints Peter and Pauls night bonfires are lit at crossroads. A goose is killed in Michelmas Day.
    Hallowe'en.
    Lead is melted over the fire in a saucepan. It is then put into cold water, and whatever shape it takes is what your future will be.
    If it takes the shape of a ship you will travel in a ship, of a ring you will be married.
    Three saucers are put on the table. Water is put in one, clay in another, and a ring in the other. The saucers are arranged in a certain way. A person is blindfolded, and goes to the saucers, and touches one. If he touches the water he will cross the sea, if he touches the clay he will die, and if he touches the ring he will marry.
