    in the houses on St Brigid's Day. They are left in the houses, for a year then they are burned, and new ones put up in their place. ]
    At Christmas holly is placed in the windows in honour of the feast. On May Day we put up a "May bush, and decorate it with flowers, to welcome the Summer.
    There are never hung in the outhouses in my district.
