    signs of weather. The sea-gulls g oes in flocks against the wind it is a sign of rain and when they go up into the bog it is a sign of good weather. When the crane flies towards the upland it is a sign of bad weather. The curlew whistles over the house it is a sign of rain.
    It is said that why the robin has a red breast is because she tried to pull the nails out of our Lord's hands and the blood got on her breast and never left it.
    When the corn-crake is singing she is supposed to be saying, "pratas and bacon very good 'atin."
