  2. When the people in olden times were going to bed they would say this prayer:-
    Here I lay me down to sleep.
    Guardian Angel guard my head.
    And through the hours of darkness keen.
    May be thy watch around my bed.
    When they would be going on a journey they would say this prayer.
    O my dear Guardian to they holy care I am committed, to fend, govern, and save me this day.
