True we never heard of anyone in the locality digging up anything pertaining to the treasure when making graves.Away about one and a quarter miles on the south side of the town there is treasure supposed to be hidden. Near the Brosna in a field in "Clon-gowley." The place itself is called "Gavin's Island" named after the robber "Gavin the highwayman." This(continues on next page)
