   under the ground. There is supposed to be a passage underneath this field. The position of the supposed treasure is called the "Pound" and it is guarded by a black cat.
   In a field in Monaghan's town there is a well and it is thought there is a crock of gold in it which is supposed to have been hidden there by Boyle the robber long ago.

   At the end of a big hill in our locality there is a hollow, known as the "Ferney Hollow." There is supposed to be a crock of gold hidden by the Danes in this hollow. Tom Daly great grandfather to the writer, lived near the "Ferney Hollow." Himself and his family were constantly dreaming that there was gold hidden under a certain bush in this hollow. This is the dream they had. They imagined
