PNEUMONIASix to ten onions chopped finely - put in "skillet" with the same amount of rye-meal. Add vinegar to make a paste. Let it simmer for 5 mins. Put into a cotton bag large enough to cover lungs and apply to chest.(called by old people Inflammation of Lungs)
ABCESScured by bathing in water in which parsnips have been boiled.
COLD ON CHESTbrown paper soaked in goose-grease or tallow and applied to chest.
SORE THROATsalt roasted and put in a
1) woollen stocking wound around neck
2) Black-currants boiled in honey or sugar
RHEUMATISMgoose-grease rubbed on joints
WHITTLOEcamomile boiled and mixed with goat's butter to make a poultice
MEASLESgruel made from asse's leavings. Give black ass feed of oatmeal - make gruel of whatever he leaves. The sick child to walk underneath ass three times!!!
EARACHEa roasted on (?) applied as poultice
