The commonest family in Tristernagh is a family of Reilly.There are four thatched houses and four slated houses. There were more houses in the townland of Tristernagh sixty years ago than at present. There were up to forty houses on the bóthar na marbh forty years ago. This bóthar na marbh was a great road long ago in Tristernagh.
