- Geata Buidhe:-This gate is about two miles from this school. It means the yellow gate. It was put there over one hundred years ago by a man named General Mearse. There used to be a festival held there every four years on the 16th June. All the people dressed in yellow and the old Gaelic historians called it by the name it bears to-day. It is broken and propped with iron bars and is all rust now.Maureen Kelly
