Once upon there was a big rock in a field above in Coolatore. Three men blasted the rock. When the rock was blasted, there was a heavy smell of brinstone from it. On looking into the rock they saw an iron stake and a chain out of it. After this a black hare was seen in that part of the country. She couldn't be killed by dog or gun. The men that blasted the rock threw the part that was broken off on top of the chain again. The hare was never seen any more.
