  1. There is one fairy fort in this district. It is in the townland of Boyanna. It is circular in shape and there is a fence of earth around it.
    One time the owner of the fort got a badger in the fort and killed him and the next morning his sow was dead. Old people say that fairies used to play in it at night. It is said badgers used to gather in the fort at night and used to be heard growling. If anyone cut bushes in the fort something would be dead the next morning.
