  1. Flax Mill: There was a corm mill and flax mill in Clondra owned by Mr. Montgomery. They used to buy flax and put it in ponds or drains to rot it for a month. When that time came they would rise it and bleach it when it would be dry they would bring it to the mill and scutch it and manufacture it to linen.
