- Long ago people used not have any hospitals and chemists, and they made cures and medicine out of herbs by doing certain things.
If a person had a wart he rubbed the juice of Robin-run-the-hedge on it and that cured the wart.
If a person had a toothache he would put a frog into his mouth and the toothache would go.
If a person put Jeyes Fluid into his mouth it would also cure toothache.
If a person had bad blood he would drink the juice of Elder berries and that would purify it.
If a person got a "Tálach" in his hand he would tie a piece of cloth on his hand and the Tálach would go.
If a person dipped washing soda in holy water and made the sign of the Cross on the wart , the wart would go.
A cure for a sore throat is to put salt into a stocking and tie it around(continues on next page)- Collector
