- The Killkenny Hurlers.This is a verse of the Killkenny Hurlers. This song was composed in 1935 after the All-Ireland Final between Killkenny and Limerick.
Killkenny were the champions and this song was composed to honour the event.1
It was on the first day of September in 1935,
Will remain marked in our memories as long as we're alive.
The cream of Irelands hurling shone in their colours bright,
The green and white clad Limerick boys came there that day
determined to knock thoes Champions out.
But the Black and amber heroes were determined for once
to bring home the brown of Ireland
