- There lives at the present day, a man named Patsy Furlong of the Lough. He is very good for getting work done ? for himself. One day a tramp came along and Patsy said to him, " Come and do a few drills of turnips for me will you." The tramp only said, "An empty sack cannot stand." So Patsy brought him inside and gave him a very good dinner, and when he had finished his dinner Patsy brought him to the field where the turnips were sowed and told him what to do. "But sure," said the tramp, " a full sack cannot bend," and of course he had fooled Patsy and went his way again.
