    he works are the hammer, an anvil, a chisel, a pincers, a knife, a sledge, a rasp, a vice, a thongs and a drill.
    The smith does a lot of work. He makes shoes for horses and asses, which he puts on them. Sometimes he makes halters for bulls, while he makes fetters for horses. He also makes harrows, which the farmers buy from him when Spring approaches, because they want them to harrow the soil. Very often he makes gates for the farmers. The ploughs are bought in the foundry, but if they are broken in any way, they are mended by the smith. The smith also binds wheels. He makes an iron band which he puts on the wheel.
