Two holy wells are in parish, viz Clumán and Maínín.
They are not places of pilgrimage. People visit the well of Maínín and use the water for the cure of warts. They often leave a beads or a medal on the white thorn which grows above the well of Maínín.
The well of Maínín is in Mount George townland.
The well called Clumán is in Knockavacca.
Some of the people of the locality have some faint memory of having heard that Maínín was a saint - a hermit who lived in the valley in which the well is.
