    Cures
    Warts. Count how many you have and put the same number of stones in a bag. Leave them at a crossroads and say 'In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost'.
    Nettle sting. A cure for a sting of a nettle is to get a dock leaf and rub the sting spot with it.
    Sty: If you gave a sty on your eye get a thorn off a gooseberry bush and stab it three times with it.
    Sore throat: Put hot salt in the foot of a stocking and put it round your neck.
    Tiredness. Put about two ounces of mustard in a bath for anyone who is tired and it is supposed to freshen them up.

    People put a snail on a wart and then they put it on a 'sgeac' thorn and when the snail is dead the wart will be gone. Some people use turnip
    poultices. People eat celery to cure rheumatism.
