- 217The Corrig graveyard is important because of the graves of the men of 1798 and of other soldiers and men who took part in battles for the freedom of Ireland. In this graveyard a patron is held each year. The patron is held on the feast of Saint to which the graveyard is dedicated. It is the custom on the day for the people who have friends buried there to dress their friends graves with flowers.Written by Thomas Guilfoyle
