- To cure stiffness in sinews or bronchitis on chest, goose grease was rubbed on the chest. It is a very lucky thing to keep in a house.
To cure a rash black button water was used. This weed was boiled and the juice was applied to the rash.
To cure heart-burn it is a good remedy to drink bread-soda in milk or water.
To cure stomach ache boiling milk and pepper gives good relief.
To cure whooping cough it was a very good remedy to cough down on a frog in a can of water.
To cure warts it was a remedy long ago to rub a snail on the wart. then the snail was tied in a sceac and as the snail faded away the wart also disappeared.- Collector
