  1. In a tunnel leading from the Castle to Tombrack tradition says that there is supposed to be a golden gate. A hound is supposed to guard it. Some time ago when men were digging the channels to lay the sewerage they heard a very hollow sound. They said they would go down that night but fear took hold of them and they postponed their visit.
