- There are two graveyards in Killeigh at present. Both are old. Many people are buried in them. There is one very old cemetery in Killeigh. It is round the Protestant Church, which was a Convent long ago. It is consecrated ground and up to a few years ago Catholics were buried in it. Protestants are buried in it now. There is a lane leading from the Tullamore road and from Ballinvalley road to this church and graveyard. It is called the church lane. It is a very dark and lonely lane and some people say that there were ghosts seen there. Years ago there was a little chapel in Fenter. It had a thatched roof. It was called Tampleteeheen. There was no graveyard there. There are no ruins there now. There are a lot of trees(continues on next page)
