    neighbour named Conroy came in during churning time. For some reason he was not asked to give a hand. No butter would come on the milk no matter how the churned. My grandfather went to Moll Anthony foron the red Hills of Kildare for advice. He told him to churn the same milk again and that a man would come the door looking for a red coal to light his pipe. But on no condition to let him in. He came and banged and banged and shouted and shouted but he was not let in. Soon the churn was full of butter. If Conroy had been let in that night butter would never come in the churn again.
