- There was a great number of industries carried out in this country in olden times but almost all of them are discontinued. Basket making was one of the industries which was carried out in this district in olden times and it is stil continued by some of the old inhabitants of the district.Another industry which was in this district was forge work. The forge was situated near the main foard and it was owned by a man named Egan. It consisted of the making of spades, gates, and fire cranes and all iron implements.
