- Food in Olden TimesIn olden times people had three meals a day. They got their breakfast at sunrise, their dinner at noon and they supper at the sunset. They used to do all their morning work before they got their breakfast.The breakfast consisted of porridge and new milk. The dinner always was potatoes and cabbage and home cured bacon. The supper also was porridge and new milk. The people used to sit around the fire with their porridge bowls on their knees.
