work. They showed the find to the Bennetts. Miss Bennett took the cross and chain and sent them to the museum.
The Bennetss then began to hear strange noises in their house and the girl who took the cross lost her mind. They sent for the cross again and buried it where they got it near the big stained glass window of the Protestant Church.
A story is told by Fr. Clancy a very hold priest who lived in the Racepark.
A woman brought a sick child to him to cure. When she came to the priest's house she was told that he was dead. She took his dead hand and made the sign of the cross, saying "What Fr. Clancy can do living he can do dead". In the name of the Father, etc. The child was cured immediately.
Another man was brought from Broughal to be cured of paralysis. After a few visits to the priests he told him to walk there the next time. And he did. People used to visit his grave and take away clay from it.
