- The Nine StonesThere is a place near the foot of Mount Leinster called the Nine "Stones" and the people say that nine rebels were killed and buried there during the rebellion of 98. These men were natives of County Carlow and were coming home from the war in Wexford. The names of these men are not known.
These men are also known as the "unknown warriors."
