    was largely carried on at that time. This townland is in the parish of Killeshin in which there is a moat and the ruins of an old Norman Church. There is a beautiful old doorway which is in an excellent preservation. Many people come to look at it. There is also a holy well convenient to the ruins. Over-looking Killeshin on the top of the hill there is a Fairy-Rath the story goes that the man on whose land the Rath is, cut a tree and the next morning a cow was dead. That showed that the fairies did not like to be interfered with. Music was heard by different people returning home from rambling late at night.
