- There is a story regarding Lisnaduagh house. The builders who were building the house got to build as far as - one story under the ground and when they got it completed as far as level with the ground, you might say then they lost their strength, because they were never able to build it one inch higher. Every night whatever amount they would build that day would be knocked down. Then they set soldiers to watch at night but still it was no use it was knocked down either ways. At last the builder of the house met another man and he told him that no man would ever live to see that house built, but if he wanted to build a house to go up to the top of the field in which the other house was built in. The foundation of the first mansion was afterwards turned into a dogs kennel.
