    hay, and on their ricks of hay,
    It is not done as much as it used to be as they buy them in shops, and they are twice as strong as the ones they used to make. The majority of the old people used to make them at night out in a barn.
    Mr Arthur Sutton, Fortview, Kilpedder, used to make gates and wheel barrows, and doors, and swings for ploughs for his own use, and my fathers. He is not able to do that work now as he is getting old.
    Mr Lawler of Roundwood bank makes drays, ladders, wheels for drays etc. He makes them for every one who goes to him for them. He is still living and working away.
