    There are some very ancient and remarkable stones in the parish...

    Two notches near the end of the upright stem, certainly look like Ogam notches while further on, five others of similar appearance. It is difficult to say however whether these are the terminals of the natural furrows that now run across the top surface, the result of centuries of exposure.
    The inscription reads (The stone) of Jaquinos of the tribesmen of m.
