  1. (continued from previous page)
on his back set out to a public house to have a few drinks with his chums It was about twelve o'clock when he was coming home. He had to come through an old rath. When he was coming through the old rath two fairies caught hold of him and one asked, "What will we do with this man"? Take the hump off him and send him home straight. So they took off his hump and he went home straight.
Some time after, another man who also had a hump on his back, heard of the other mans luck and determined to go through the rath in order to get the hump taken off his back, When he was going through the rath two fairies caught hold of him and one said,"What will we do with this man"
Put the other mans hump on him and let him go home with two humps. So they put on the other hump and he had two humps for the rest of his life.
