- Herbs have very good medicinal properties as they can be used to make oinments.
Garlic and Grounsel are used to prevent blackleg in calves. Houseleek and Robin-run-the-hedge to make blast oinment. Rib grass is used to stop bleeding. The female fern when applied with carrion oil is very good for burns and scalds.
Camille is used to make tea, said to be good to induce sleep. Rue is a great cure for felons, nettles are good for the blood. Sorrell is good to quench thirst. Marshmallow is used to stupe a sore udder.- Collector
