Having arrived at the spot the men began to dig at once. They dug and dug and were about to give up when one of them uncovered a flag. Then they began to dig clay from around the flag and one of the men said, "We are getting at something now". Just then something was heard mooing in the distance but the men waited to hear no more but grabbed the lantern and went running to the ditch.
