- Long ago in Glendalough there were seven Churches, the ruins are to be seen there still. In one of these Churches which is situated in the Cemetery grounds. Mass was celebrated, it is called the Cathedral. A famous Saint called Kevin built these Churches in the sixth centuary.St Kevin used to pray and do pennance high up in a place called Saint Kevin's bed. He also prayed in a place called the cell it is built like an old fashioned beehive if it built of stone.The names of the ruins of the other Churches are.
