- There is a fairy fort in Glenmalure and a long time ago a man named Byrne started to dig in it. A couple of days after that he lost some of his sheep.
Fairy forts are usually called Raheens [?] - One man near Aughrim went to plough a field in which there was a fairy ring. He ploughed up bones and skulls and one of his horses died while he was ploughing.
