- (continued from previous page)lived. There was a fair held every Whit Monday in Macreddin and when people could not make a bargain, they used to fight with blackthorn sticks. Such happenings do not occur at the fairs now.
Half the land of Cronawinna is arable land and the remainder is pasture covered with heather and furze. It is great land for growing crops. Wheat and oats can be grown satisfactorily on it.
