    card out of the board. Then they lay behind the ditch. Then on comes a little bird looking for something to eat. He hops under the board. Then they pull the card and kill the bird. In the snow they did this, or in hard weather they bought wire and twisted it round like a great "O". Then they got a stick and stuck it down in the ground and tied the wire into it and but a stick with a little split in it in the ground to hold up the twisted wire. Then it is ready to catch the rabbits or hares.
