  1. Old Tombstone.
    This is number one of the six oldest tombstones in the local graveyard. Others may be older and look older too but the inscriptions are quire obliterated.

    Calves.
    Best calf: roan colour for heifer
    Worst calf: white or whitish-yellow
    White or yellow calves are more inclined to have lice.
    Milkers.
    Sign of a good milker: A good square elder (udder)
    i.e. the spins (teats) equidistant from each other.
    Sign of a bad milker: A round udder. i.e. the hind spins close together.
