Best calf: roan colour for heifer
Worst calf: white or whitish-yellow
White or yellow calves are more inclined to have lice. Milkers.
Sign of a good milker: A good square elder (udder)
i.e. the spins (teats) equidistant from each other.
Sign of a bad milker: A round udder. i.e. the hind spins close together.- Informant
