Brittas N.S. - "The Old Man"
I got this information from Michael O'Brien Barndarrig, Kilbride, Co. Wicklow.
On the top of Castletimon hill about one mile and a half north of our school there is a heap of stones and in Summer time holiday makers go to visit it. There is no road nor path leading up to it. A prince named Simon Gael is buried there. He built a castle there long ago and that is how the hill and the townland got their name.(continues on next page)
