- The most common birds we have in this town are the Black - bird, Thrush and the Crow.
The Black- bird and Thrush are birds nearly of the same nature they build their nests in a good thick hedge, so that they will be hidden in the foliage from the eyes of those who seek to rob their nests, and to shelter them from the wind. In very bad weather they can go down to the bottom of the hedge a place where they are sure to find a morsel of food without going out from beneath shelter.
The Crows build their nests on the top branches of tall trees mostly a group of them together, they always begin to build on the first of March, but a funny thing about them is if the first of March(continues on next page)- Collector
