- (continued from previous page)to have been hidden in Ballymanus wood, a quarter of a mile from Glenealy. Tradition says that several times people went searching for this treasure. They have all succeeded in getting the iron chest up. But each time as they through the gate of the wood a lovely girl appeared with a few green shamrocks in her hand. She was dressed in a long white gown with a green and gold border, and a dark green cloak. This lady is supposed to have long golden hair, and she is supposed to have said "This gold is not to be touched till Eire is free
Then it is said she vanished and also the chest from the hands of the men.- Collector
