- Pee Dolan lives in Moher, Derradda, Ballinamore built a fine new house some 30 years ago. The mason was an old man. He came first and marked out '' the square '' on which to build.
At night he then stuck four little substitute the ground one at each corner. On top of each he placed a small piece of slate. When they came back in the morning the sticks and slates were as they had been left. Old Pat Cassidy- the mason - then said they would go ahead in the name of God.If any of the sticks of slates had been removed he would not build on that spot.He built a great many houses and always he made that test before starting. He claimed the houses he built were lucky and none of them fell.- Informant
