    As he was driving home the cows he met two small men about two feet high. They wore red coats with brass buttons. They called him by name and asked where he was bringing the cattle. He didn't speak, but the two little men told him to leave the cows and they'd take care of them.
    The boy was frightened and ran home. The little men were never again seen. But everyone said that is the boy had caught hold of one of them he'd have shown him where a crock of gold was buried
    In Gortmore a man named McGovern had a cow which usually grazed near a fort on his farm. The man noticed that the cow gave very little milk, and it seemed as if some one had milked her. This happened several times and at last the man decided to sell the cow
    He brought the cow to the fair
