- Soap was made from the flesh of cows. First a cow was killed Then, the flesh was put in a tub, and mixed with soda. It was left in the tub for about five minutes. Then, it was taken out, and soda was put on it. If It was left for about a week, to harden.
- The people got sticks, and seasoned them. Then, they nailed the sticks together. They put a hoop around the top, and another around the bottom. There is one man in my district who makes barrels. His name is Mr. Eddy Flood, Snakiel, Killeshandra, Co. Cavan.
