    his own who does most of his repairs. He has a lake which is private and he keeps two boats on it and nobody is allowed fish in it except some of his staff. He keeps two cars and two tractors for use on the farm. He gives an outing to his helpers every Xmas and it is enjoyed by everyone. He is a lover of sport and animals, he is very fond of shooting and every year he hold a good many shoots to whom the higher class people come. He plays a lot of tennis and there is a tennis tournament held at Farnham House every year. He also goes to Switzerland and does a good deal of ski-ing.
    There are numerous wells around his land and there is one called the "Lady's Well". This is supposed to have been cursed by an old woman and since then it has been closed up and nobody draws water from it at all. There are numerous other legends connected with old ruins or wells around his estate but it is very doubtful if any of them are true. There are
